Howdy,
This past Wednesday was my one week ampuversary. Things are going fairly well although, we celebrated with another trip to the vet. My mom got slightly freaked out because my tongue and gums were about the color of my teeth. The vet was concerned that I was hemorrhaging so she had us come in. I know mom was concerned because instead of finding a babysitter she loaded all the kids ( I have 2 two legged sisters and 1 two legged brother) in the Jeep and took them with us. My four legged brother stayed home. (I think he maybe a monkey butt…That will be explored in another post)
Thankfully, I am only anemic. The vet thinks one of my meds may have caused or aggravated a stomach ulcer. I also found out that I have to wear this stupid e-collar for 3 extra days. I was suppose to get my stitches out on Monday but, now I have to wait til Thursday 🙁
On the up side mom now gives me 5 peanut butter sandwiches a day in stead of 2. Peanut butter must be a wonderful substance as I feel better the more I eat 🙂
I let mom get a picture of me on my one week ampuversary. I was a bit concerned with showing my wounds so you’ll notice how happy I was to have a fluffy tail.
It’s time for bed so I will sign off till next time. I hope you have a wonderful night,
Doogy

Hi Doogy. Happy 1 week ampuversary! You sound like your are doing good (all except the anemic part). Daisy three legs and her monkeybutt sister Matti (she’s an eskie, too) says hi. We look forward to more updates.
Marla, Daisy and Matti
Doogy,
You look great on your 1 week ampuversary! I know the secret as to why you love peanut butter sandwiches and why they make you feel so good. Sorry, it is a secret and I can’t tell you until you are completely better. I am 2 weeks 2 days post op and life is so much better.
Sorry to hear you are anemic but glad it was nothing serious. My Mom worries about me all the time too and I have been back to my doctor a lot. It is normal for Moms to worry about us furry kids.
I look forward to seeing more pics of your recovery,
Boomer
Thank you all for the words of encouragement. I do feel better everyday. Mom has been researching the best ways to rehab me and strengthen me. Dad even said he’d build me a wobble board. I’m not so sure about that but, mom promised me lots of treats. She says it’s nice that I’m very food motivated.
Thank you tripawds.com for your awesome book and website.
Doogy you hoppy little fluffball! Hoppy Ampuversary!
Did your Dad see our Wobble Board instructions in our Downloads blog? You would have a great time on that!
Glad you’re feeling better. Keep on downing those PB sandwiches and you’ll be back to your old self real fast.
