Howdy,
My name is Doogy. I am a miniature American Eskimo. On February 8th 2012 I entered into a brand new leg of the adventure I call life. (All pun intended 🙂 It all started on February 7th 2012 when I broke my right rear femur into 3 pieces.
The doc was hoping to be able save my leg by pinning it together. Unfortunately, 1 of the 3 pieces was to small to pin. The doc had no option but to amputate. It will be one week tomorrow. I am amazing my family by wanting to run all over. My mom has to kennel me so I will rest. I have already escaped after a potty break and tried out the stairs. I think I’m glad I’m little as they weren’t too bad. I have also started hopping on my one back leg (yes, my front paws are in the air) to let my mom know I’m excited to go out. For some reason she doesn’t like this. Maybe she’ll chill out a bit once my stitches are out.
Well, that’s it for tonight. My peanut butter sandwich is making me sleepy. (I’m beginning to think mom is putting something in it but, it is too good not to eat.)
Hopefully, mom will help me post a picture tomorrow. Although that means I have to sit still long enough to have one taken.
Til Next Time,
Doogy
